About Industrializadora de Mantecas, de CV or IMA, de CV
Our Facility is in Charge of the Processing and Distribution of Oils, Fat Bases, Margarines and High Hodrogenated products. Our Background During a period of change within the field of fat, oil, soap and personal-hygiene product manufacturing, when the world began to demand products which were not only nature-friendly but also user-friendly, an innovative entrepreneur founded the first company belonging to Grupo Oleomex, established under the name Oleofinos S.A. In 1978, José Luis Pérez Martínez, an engineer, began to manufacture coconut oil, later creating other industries such as refineries and various factories producing soaps, personal-hygiene products, oilseeds, by-pass fats, butters/ lards and cookies, in order to build what today has become an important Industrial Group consisting of 11 major companies enjoying constant growth. Additionally, in 1995, the group entered the field of finance by acquiring an interest in the only bank founded in Jalisco: BANSÍ. Then, in 1999, it became involved in the farming industry, by harvesting African palm trees, becoming the most important company in Mexico engaged in this type of farming project. The Mexican countryside and its produce has become an increasingly important factor in Oleofinos’ development, at present contributing a very significant percentage of its business and showing constant growth, engaged in projects involving healthy fats, soaps, additives for animal nutrition and for improving yields in the dairy business. Far from forgetting the business principles on which the birth of this industrial group was founded, its corporate culture has been confirmed and reinforced by strengthening its investment in field research and laboratory studies which now aid in creating new raw materials and manufactured products, increasingly in tune with the environment, ecology and, above all, human nutrition, by constantly offering healthier products.
