About Inflection Partners

Since 2015, Inflection Partners, LLC has functioned as a vehicle for the family office and consulting activities of Dave Sherry and Pam Bonnie, related to technology, power and sustainable finance. Founded by Dave Sherry and Jack Andrews, Inflection Partners, LLC was registered as an investment advisor with the California Department of Corporations from 2004 to 2011 and the United States Securities & Exchange Commission from 2011 to 2014. ▶️ The firm managed a limited partnership with a long/short strategy focused on technology, media and telecommunication equities that launched in 2005. ▶️ The mission was that of a true hedge fund ➞ to generate significant absolute returns in all market conditions. ▶️ The approach was to apply deep fundamental research to take advantage of the volatility of stock price movements in these sectors by adopting a variant perspective to identify where the consensus view was flawed and where opportunity could be realized. ▶️ The results were an attractive return stream that accrued alpha from both the long and short sides and that was uncorrelated with any other fund in the Alphametrix database of 5000 funds. In conjunction with SEC registration, Inflection Partners acted as a sub-advisor to the Hatteras Alpha Hedged Strategies Fund, a pioneer and largest of 1940 Act mutual funds that invested in hedged strategies. Additional sub-advisor roles followed with SCA Absolute Return Fund and SCA Directional Fund.
