About INJAZ
INJAZ was established in 1999 as a project under the USAID-funded organization, Save the Children. In 2001, it was re-launched as an independent, non-profit, Jordanian organization under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah with the mission of inspiring and preparing youth to become productive members of their society and accelerate the development of the national economy. Since its inception, INJAZ has successfully reached 800,000 beneficiaries across the kingdom, with the help of its network of dedicated volunteers and partners from the private and public sectors, and in full coordination with the Ministry of Education and King Abdullah II Fund for Development. Over the past thirteen years, INJAZ and its management have gained more experience with and knowledge about the true challenges faced by Jordanian youth and the pressing issues facing the education system. Through first-hand interaction with more than 725,000 students, hand-in-hand with 18,500 volunteers, and coupled with reliable, professional advice from INJAZ Board of Trustees, consisting of fifty-six key players and stakeholders in Jordan, we have matured greatly from our origins. INJAZ has expanded its pool of beneficiaries to include youth in underprivileged, remote areas and youth with special abilities. Moreover, INJAZ management has been widely exposed and highly involved with international organizations, sharing the latest trends and solutions for effective youth engagement. Such experiences have unraveled major national issues pertaining to youth employ-ability in Jordan and, at the same time; have empowered INJAZ to become a solution-provider for our youth.
