About Inland Empire Muslim Chamber of Commerce
The Inland Empire Muslim Chamber of Commerce (IEM-COC) is a platform and resource for Muslim organizations in the Inland Empire to connect, collaborate and grow our business together. Our purpose is to not only network and prosper among ourselves, but also act a bridge to the wider communities that surround us. Everyone might not understand Islam or be Muslim, but all Americans understand the values of hard work, integrity and a firm handshake. We all understand and strive for financial freedom and success. As we hold our business to the highest of standards, IEM-COC members will be pillars in our local communities and soften the hearts of those who interact with us, InshaAllah! OVERVIEW The purpose of creating the Inland Empire Muslim Chamber of Commerce is to: • Encourage and facilitate the members of the IEM-COC community to conduct business within the community and the larger Muslim community • Encourage and facilitate IEM-COC business and business leaders to conduct business with the local non-Muslim community • Encourage and facilitate an environment of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst our youth EVENTS (future) • IEM-COC Youth business plan contest (1st, 2nd, 3rd place, prize money + mentor) • IEM-COC Speech contest (to foster leadership and public speaking skills - all ages, recognition prize) • Monthly "IEM-COC Commerce" networking events where we encourage IEM-COC and local (i.e. non-Muslim) business leaders to meet and exchange ideas and business cards over light beverages. • IEM-COC Lego Challenge – a 2-day Lego event which will bring out the engineer, architect and designer in our youth. There will be instruction at various levels as well a contest and participation certificates.
