Inner Health Osteopathy – a holistic approach for a better What is Osteopathy ? Osteopathy is a holistic hands-on healthcare system. Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare, which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Osteopaths focus on your neuro-musculoskeletal system - the bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support your body and control its movements. Using skilled evaluation, diagnosis and a wide range of hands-on techniques, Osteopaths can identify types of dysfunction in your body. Osteopaths use manual therapy, which involves skilled 'hands-on' treatment that may support tissue reparation, movement and recovery. Osteopathic treatment is holistic in nature and uses techniques including muscle stretching and massage coupled with mobilisation and/or manipulation of specific joints. In Australia, osteopaths are governed and registered with AHPRA. They complete five years accredited university training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general healthcare diagnosis and osteopathic techniques. Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds and by Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans. Osteopaths are registered providers for DVA patients, as well as by State workers’ compensation schemes and motor accident insurers. Prices Initial Consultation: $115 Subsequent Consultation: $95 Appointments Please allow up to one hour for your initial consultation. This will include a thorough medical history, diagnosis, treatment and discussion of further management. Subsequent consultations are 30 minutes.
