Our communities impacted include Mobile County Public Schools, Huntsville City Schools, University of Alabama, The Mobile Museum of Art, Dance Theatre of Huntsville, the Kennedy Center as well as Europe, Canada and all over the Southeastern United States. Who We Are We are a 501(c)3 Nonprofit professional dance company founded by Tyra J. Ike Asogwa in 2009. After her first experience with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Tyra knew she needed to bring high quality dance training and exposure to marginalized communities. It was from her experience with the legendary Hope Boykin that sparked the drive in her to spearhead INNERGY. Providing opportunities for Black women choreographers, minority dance artists and individuals with the desire to dance and be well.
