About Innolux Design
Innolux comes from Finland, where the winter is dark and summer incredibly light. Light and its quality are fundamentally important and researched. In his early 20s Jukka Jokiniemi, the founder of Innolux, got a diagnosis that he is going to become blind. He then dedicated his career for good light. Jukka Jokiniemi, Dr. Tech. himself, has gathered a multidisciplinary group of motivated professionals around him that include top Finnish designers as well as bright light specialists. Since 1993 Innolux has offered light that enlightens people. For Innolux good light means promoting people’s wellbeing and enabling people to see well and enjoy their homes with high-quality lighting. To the extent possible the products are manufactured in Finland and designed to last from generation to the next. Innolux-collection includes well-known classics from the golden era (by Yki Nummi and Lisa Johansson-Pape) as well as new designs by top Finnish designers (like Eero Aarnio and Samuli Naamanka to name a few). The design of Innolux luminaires has been acknowledged, awarded and chosen also to the collections of the New York Museum of Modern Art. The Innolux collections are Design, Bright and Pro. The Design Collection includes luminaires providing attractive, stylish and good illumination and the Bright Collection consists of multifunctional bright light devices promoting overall wellbeing. Innolux Pro is a collection of reliable, long-life light fixtures made from high-quality components.
