Innovate Recycle are a UK based manufacturer of recycled PP. This material is extracted from end-of-life carpet. Approximately 500,000 tonnes of end-of-life carpet are produced in the UK every year. The majority is currently either burnt for energy or sent to landfill. Innovate Recycle are creating a solution to this environmental problem with the ultimate intention of significantly reducing burnt and buried carpet; and increasing the amount of reclaimed polypropylene. Innovate Recycle are using proven technology from the US and EU countries to create the first plant in Northampton, England which will enable the business to support, enable and advise carpet manufacturers on how to create a more sustainable material benefiting their business. This resource will enable the forward sale of the repurposed material and will have a recycling system that in a single process line is able to convert c6,637 tonnes pa of carpet material per 8 hour shift. We are part of the recycling revolution, creating sustainable material and helping to resolve the problem of how to handle end-of-life carpet in the UK.
