About InRAD – International, practice-based registry for Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias
Our vision is a world where every person affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias can receive personalised care and timely access to available treatments. We are dedicated to accelerating progress and enhancing the quality of life for those impacted by these conditions. InRAD, currently in development, is an international practice-based patient registry. It offers collaborative database tools and research capabilities at no cost, aiming to deepen understanding of dementias through epidemiological and therapeutic outcomes studies, including effectiveness and safety. Guided by founding Board members Professor Robert Perneczky and Professor Frank Jessen, who will be joined by additional international Board members soon, InRAD is driven by a co-founding team; Rob Hyde, Johan van Beek, and Tracy Willmott who bring expertise in real-world evidence, medical operations and medical communications respectively. From late 2024, a Cloud-based data entry platform, equipped with established governance and ethics frameworks, will be implemented across partner centres to facilitate the management of Alzheimer's patients. By 2025/2026, the collaborative registry platform will be available, featuring secure, regionally compliant Azure Cloud-based data storage and sharing capabilities to facilitate studies and evidence generation. InRAD is building a network of future investigator sites, partners, and collaborators. We are committed to constructing a sustainable platform that offers benefits to participating centres and patients. For updates on our progress, please visit www.InRADnetwork.org. We extend our thanks to Eli Lilly for funding some of our initial projects. We are seeking sponsorship from like-minded collaborators who believe in the power of using real world data to make a difference to the lives of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
