About Inspector Training Services (ITS)

Inspector Training Services (ITS) was founded in 2001. ITS is owned/operated by practicing inspectors, Will Stoner and Andrew Fronczek, who have made it their mission to provide the best training in the flooring industry. Drew Kern is the Director of Canadian Operations. The goal of ITS is to provide the flooring industry with outstanding educational opportunities. Inspector Training Services provides certification courses for carpet, hardwood, laminate, resilient flooring (LVT & sheet goods), & moisture testing. ITS classes are geared to inspectors/flooring professionals who desire to expand their knowledge and distinguish themselves within the flooring industry. ITS courses provide thorough hands-on training. No other program gets you better prepared to succeed. Extensive examples of manufacturing defects, installation-related issues, maintenance, and end-user problems are evaluated and reviewed. Inspectors have the opportunity to examine flooring samples with issues while learning how to properly inspect and identify the cause/source of the problem. In addition, inspectors are exposed to various inspection tools commonly used in this profession, their advantages/disadvantages, and also learn how to properly use these tools. Inspector Training Services provides real-world experience so that certified inspectors are well-prepared to effectively and accurately evaluate, access, and report on a vast array of flooring issues. In addition to proper inspection techniques, ITS also focuses on proper report writing methodology. Although courses are primarily designed to expand the skills of established inspectors, these programs are also offered to other flooring professionals (i.e. manufacturers, installation and restoration contractors, builders, etc.) who are looking to understand the inspection process and/or learn how to avoid issues. ITS also offers customized training programs designed for manufacturers, distributors, retailer, and installation contractors.
