About Inspire Occupational Therapy

My name Mariah Flodman, I am an Occupational Therapist and the owner of Inspire Occupational Therapy serving Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding areas in Nebraska. In my years of experience working in pediatrics in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and outpatient I noticed a gap in services which motivated me to create this business. I noticed that families with children who had new life-changing injuries, medical complexities, and/or compromised immune systems didn't have access to therapy in the comfort and safety of their own homes. So many families needed help problem-solving things like home setup, use of new adaptive equipment, and assistance with transfers specific to their home with no one to help. Although clinics work hard to simulate a similar setup, nothing compares to having help where they need it most, in the home. Inspire aims to bridge that gap, focusing on helping kids gain independence in self-care tasks, optimize home set-up, limit exposure to illnesses, and increase participation in meaningful activities, regardless of their stage of healing. By seeing kids in their homes, we increase their comfort, reduce family stress, navigate everyday challenges, and reach goals more quickly!
