Inspire Rx LLC was created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, when Sridhar Kota and Shalini Kota co-invented a negative pressure helmet, "PPE for Patients", to treat Covid-19 patients non-invasively without ventilators while protecting health care workers. Worn by the patient, the Aerosolve Helmet draws oxygen, as well as room air, into the helmet, while pulling exhaled air and any other outflow through a HEPA filter, and draws it through a vacuum (which removes the virus). Thus it serves as a compact, personal negative pressure room. It is a clinically proven, easy-to-implement solution for treating, transporting or visiting Covid-19 patients safely.
