About Instalek
OUR HISTORY: Instalek started as RubberTech in 1998 founded by Rob Zieseniss focusing specifically on the tyre and rubber industry. RubberTech secured the agency for McNeil & NRM Tyre Presses and Micro-Poise Measurement Systems (now Ametek Micro-Poise) and to this day still represent these two companies in the industry. Over the years, the company expanded to take on several other agencies including APV, RRR, Rogers, Sterns, Barco, Personna, Lighthouse and REA JET. In 2008 the company rebranded to Instalek SA. At this point, Instalek was heavily focused and invested in representing brands in SA. ABOUT US: Instalek has changed course from its beginnings where we were solely focused on agency-based business, we are now oriented to a service-based business model which is focused on specialized industrial sourcing and procurement services. While we still have a strong presence in the Tyre and Rubber industry, Instalek also operates in the Automotive, FMCG, Steel, Wood and Mining industries as well as specialized parts for machine builders. With us having national footprint, we are to supply customers throughout South Africa with our head office being based in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth. In January 2020, Instalek took the decision to begin a new phase in our growth plan. “Instalek SA” has since rebranded to “Instalek” and has concluded a deal to become a Level 2 BB-BEE QSE business to meet the demands our customers in South Africa. Over the years Instalek has evolved to offer a full outsource purchasing solution covering sourcing, purchasing and logistics to a number of companies within many different industries. Our area of expertise lies in the procurement of maintenance items, equipment and spares, as well as developing a wide range of expertise to assist our customers with product quality improvement and scrap reduction. THE FUTURE: Instalek is now aimed at becoming a formidable force in industrial sourcing and procurement.
