The Instep Carbon & Sustainability programme provides you with the knowledge to monitor and manage your carbon emission profile. Our regular personalised reports give you a full summary of your carbon emissions over selected periods, with recommendations and measures to reduce your emissions. Instep does not lock its business partners into offsetting, as we believe that your individual action is the key to sustainable development. The Instep process: Education: Understanding how climate change and environmental issues are relevant to your own situation is the first step towards overall sustainability. Evaluate: We evaluate the most suitable of the Instep programmes for your activity and if required visit your premises and identify key emission sources to include in your profile. Quantify: We calculate and measure your carbon emissions using scientific methods based on international standards accepted globally. Manage: We send you out regular reports with summaries of activity and recommendations on reducing your emissions further. Action and Reduction: We believe your individual action is the ultimate key to fighting climate change and we encourage taking action as much as possible. The purpose of our regular reports is for you to see, understand and take action on your footprint. Certification: After you join the Instep programme you receive an Instep Carbon and Sustainability participation certificate. On completion of the programme Instep does a full reassessment of your carbon footprint and certifies your operation depending on the target achieved over the year. We then discuss goals for the future and how we can work together to achieve these agreed goals. Our programmes start from the standard carbon footprint monitoring, measuring, managing, reporting and certifying to Sustainable Event Management, Life Cycle Analysis and eco labelling.
