About Institute For American Universities
IAU College is one of the oldest and largest education abroad sites in Europe. It provides students with academic programs of intellectual substance and international focus in the fertile foreign setting of southern France. Any student open to learning and willing to grow will return home after a semester, academic year, or summer transformed — changed in unexpected ways. Founded in 1957 under the auspices of the Université d’Aix-Marseille, IAU has served as an academic center for more than seven hundred U.S. colleges and universities and over seventeen thousand students. It continues to make study in France available to students who recognize the lifelong value of living in and exploring a culture other than their own. Committed to helping students optimize their study abroad experience, IAU is one of the few study abroad programs in France to offer the option of taking liberal arts coursework in English.
