The NIT is a research institute for tourism issues and all related topics. On the basis of our research, we develop strategy and development concepts for tourism. The NIT team consists of economists, geographers, psychologists and cultural scientists. Our projects deal with all facets of tourism and focus on research, strategy and development as well as sustainability and mobility. In addition, we support clients throughout Europe in the areas of funding acquisition and application support. We regularly organise conferences and events on tourism topics and publish research results in specialised periodicals. NIT staff are often invited to participate as experts in panel discussions or seminars. We create and deliver knowledge and help to discover promising ways for the future development of tourism.
