The mission of the Institute of Design and Construction (IDC), a professional college in downtown Brooklyn, is to provide students with proper training for careers in the architecture and construction industries. This open-admissions college provides a comprehensive course of study toward Associate Degrees in Architectural Technology and Building Construction Technology. IDC also offers continuing education courses for architecture/engineering/construction professionals and architectural license exam preparation classes. Founded in 1947 by Vito P. Battista, R.A., IDC is a private, nonprofit institution registered by the New York State Department of Education and accredited by the New York State Board of Regents. It is one of the most affordable private colleges in New York. IDC welcomes all veterans. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
