The Institute of Mosaic Art, or "IMA", is the largest and oldest mosaic education center in the United States, offering the widest range of programming in the mosaic arts. Currently owned by longtime mosaic students and mother-daughter team, Ilse Cordoni and Sophia Cordoni, the school resides in Berkeley, California. Founded in 2005 by internationally known mosaic artist Laurel True, Institute of Mosaic Art is a world-class mosaic education and resource center offering students expert instruction in the mosaic arts in a fun and welcoming environment. And our onsite store, Mosaic Studio Supply, offers a large selection of mosaic tools and materials including tile, stone, glass and smalti. IMA is a premier destination for mosaic, students, visitors and instructors from around the world.
