InsurLab Germany is THE platform to connect the insurance and InsurTech world with each other. The initiative was the first InsurTech-Hub to be included into the de:hub network of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The initative for InsurLab Germany originally came from the Mayor of the City of Cologne, the Chamber of Commerce of Cologne, the University of Cologne, and the TH Cologne. Meanwhile, the InsurTech-Hub is operated by InsurLab Germany e.V., which was founded by several German insurance companies, universities, and startups. • We give access to new talents of the digital world, create new and innovative jobs, and prepare existing jobs for the challenges of today and tomorrow. • We promote the digital transformation in the insurance sector, connecting established and new companies from around the world. • We organize interesting events and offer an attractive working environment for startups. • We build a dynamic network for Germany and beyond. Together with innovative national and international founders we want to work in Cologne on topics relevant for the insurance industry ranging from the "internet of things," e-health, and life science to "Blockchain," e-payments, big data, and virtual reality, thus shaping the future for the insurance industry.
