Reaching out to see a therapist for the first time can be intimidating. Many people and families have fears about what seeing a therapist or psychiatrist will entail. We may worry about being judged or pushed into treatments with which we are not comfortable. These concerns are often a barrier for people seeking treatment. At Integrative Psych, we work to create a safe and welcoming environment while providing clear recommendations and working collaboratively with patients and families. Our primary goal is to work with you to find a therapist who is the right fit for you— all first appointments are consultations with the option to move forward with longer-term treatment. We believe that your initial consultation is the foundation of your future success. As a result, we emphasise a thorough and comprehensive initial evaluation for all patients. There is no commitment past the consultation. We do this because successful mental health treatment has do with fit between doctor/therapist and patient.
