About Intercollector

The story of Intercollector has many twists and turns as well as a touch of intrigue. We started Intercollector in 2016. The seeds of a business idea were formed and we knew that we were the perfect team to pull it off. But we did not just come out of nowhere. We were the team behind another company, Auction Atrium, which traded successfully and made a real impression in the marketplace until it was forced to close its doors in 2012. This is where the intrigue lies... But entrepreneurs being what they are, determined and optimistic, we have been working since then on getting another company off the ground. For much of the time this has been more wishful thinking than anything else, as many of our business contacts can testify. The expression “flogging a dead horse” comes to mind! Much of the negativity stemmed from the fact that I was the founder and managing director of a failed company and so who would support me and my team? The answer seemed to be no one. Therefore, we have done what all good entrepreneurs do, ignored the critics and got on with building a company by bootstrapping and doing most of the work ourselves. We have also found some excellent support along the way and this has made all the difference. We are a team that has been through the wars and experienced pretty much every aspect of starting and running a company – and through it all we have remained great friends as well as business partners.
