About InterContinental Foods – Portuguese Marinade & Basting Sauce
We are a family run business which started in 2010. With about 20 years experience in the food business, our specialty is chicken braais. We always had friends and family asking for some of our special home made marinade. After someone pointed out that although they had looked in the stores there just wasn’t anything on the market that hit the spot like our marinade did, we started experimenting with bigger quantities and The Portuguese Marinade was born. Starting off with supplying small restaurants and local supermarkets the sauce has quickly grown in popularity and is now available in some of the major chain stores and used by many restaurants and families. It is a very versatile sauce, full of flavour with just a touch of bite. It can be used on all meats, chicken, fish & shell fish. You can braai with it, grill, roast or cook with it. You are only limited by your imagination. This marinade will take your taste buds on a trip to Portugal, right from the comfort of your own home.
