The International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) is a non-profit organization was founded by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon to create sustainable peace by empowering youth and students to become responsible global citizens through character education and participating in activities that support the United Nations SDGs in order to help make their communities, societies and nations more harmonious and prosperous. The core values spell the word RISE: Responsibility - By fulfilling responsibility, we find our greatest freedom, highest value and fulfill our noblest ideals Integrity - Integrity begins within each of us, by uniting our words and deeds Service - Living for others is the foundation and indispensable principle needed to create good character within us and true love between people Empathy - The ability to understand and share the feelings of others as if they were our own IAYSP USA offers seminars that help young people design their own grassroots service projects and opportunities to collaborate with like-minded organizations to positively impact the lives of all youth and their communities. Special emphasis is given to projects that support the UN SDGs and selected International Days, working with educational institutions and government organizations in inclusive multilateral settings to encourage healthy interaction with civil societies, businesses, religions, local and regional authorities, and other stakeholders.
