About International Contractors Association of Korea
ICAK was established on November 3, 1976 under the Overseas Construction Promotion Act of the Republic of Korea. ICAK is the only semi-public organization in the country that officially represents the interests of Korean companies in all matters relating to overseas construction and development activities. In addition, the ICAK has 700 member companies. Information is a key resource in our work. ICAK conducts extensive research on international construction markets, making information available to members through publications and seminars ICAK prepares marketing strategies for member companies to find suitable opportunities for plant construction, and disseminates the strategy via a computer network utilizing information technology. ICAK keeps abreast of important changes and developments in world construction markets. General research includes the analysis of market trends and policies in relevant countries, which provides perspectives and options for member companies and government offices in response to changing business conditions abroad. ICAK promotes bilateral and multilateral cooperative efforts. . ICAK also supports joint meetings and seminars aimed at increasing cooperation with construction industries of other nations and international organizations. ICAK is the primary link between member companies and the Korean government. It serves as a means of promoting the construction industry overseas, and encouraging sound development of member companies.
