About International Friends NOVA

WHO ARE WE? We are a community organization of International Students and Americans in the Northern Virginia community. We’re a family of friends from many cultures and backgrounds gathering for friendship, sharing and lots of fun! There are many volunteers who come together to make the activities possible for international students and they do it because they have been impacted by God’s love and want to share that love with others. WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS NOVA? IF, for short is a group that meets for discussions and social events with Americans and International Students. Some of the activities we have include: dinner parties, trips, celebrations of American holidays, dinners in American homes, Supper Club, conversation groups, leadership development and Bible discussions. We will always let you know what to expect before you come to an event. Browse the events page to find out more about these options. WHERE? Most events take place in Annandale and Fairfax County, usually in American homes. Sometimes we take trips to other states on the weekends! We will always try to find a ride for you to each event, and make sure you have a ride home. WHY? It’s a great chance to practice English, make friends, enjoy good food and learn about various cultures, including American culture, outside of the classroom. HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
