About International Health Leaders
International Health Leaders was founded with the mission to foster and support the next generation of leaders in public health and medicine. Our core initiative is the IHL program (IHLP) centered around mentorship, professional development, and research. The International Health Leaders Program is a free, prestigious, application-based virtual opportunity designed for high school students in grades 9-12, affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through this unique virtual program, culminating in late spring/early summer, we seek to cultivate the next generation of health leaders by offering unparalleled educational experiences, fostering meaningful professional connections, and promoting the sharing and collaboration of innovative research and ideas. Our mission is to nurture a global community of young scholars dedicated to advancing public health and medical sciences.
