We are of medium size: small enough to provide a personal service, but large enough to have excellent facilities and resources. ILA’s mission from the very first day is to offer an excellent education and English Language learning experience to speakers of other languages, to help students master the skills required for them to pursue their education in the United States and be successful in all aspects of life in America. ILA’s professional, caring, experienced, attentive, and carefully chosen faculty and staff ensure that all of our students get the most out of their time here. The Academy’s location near Washington, DC, makes it attractive to both local and international students. There is ample parking and, with the anticipated July 2014 opening of the new Silver [Metro] Line, convenient public transportation. The institute is also a short distance from Tyson's Corner Galleria, one of the largest malls in the United States, with many upscale stores and restaurants. ILA’s facilities themselves are attractive. Located in a tree-lined commercial area, there is a welcoming entry area, classrooms equipped with new tables, chairs, and whiteboards, and a comfortable student lounge area. All classrooms have electronic equipment. “ILA” is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation CEA. CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the United States.
