About International Law Book Facility (ILBF)
Supporting the Rule of Law: one book at a time. The ILBF provides good quality legal textbooks, donated by the UK legal community, to not-for-profit organisations in need of legal research resources across the globe. The way that the ILBF works is simple. We encourage donations of relevant and useful legal textbooks, reports and encyclopaedias from the UK legal community. Prospective recipient organisations submit a comprehensive application form, outlining their user demographic and the potential uses for law books, which is assessed by the ILBF Operating Committee. Volunteers sort book donations, determining which are most suitable for particular recipients. The selected books are then packed into boxes and sent to the recipient organisation in question. Since 2005 the ILBF has sent more than 95,000 books to over 285 not-for-profit organisations across Africa, Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. That's 62 countries altogether! To see more of what we do, and to read recent news of shipments of our books, please visit our website: www.ilbf.org.uk.
