Maremont - A Leader in Meeting the Needs of Our Customers History The relationship between Maremont and transportation traces to its beginning in 1877 when it manufactured parts for wagons, stage coaches and some of Chicago’s first street cars. The company’s history with automobiles goes all the way back to the Model T. Maremont entered the exhaust business in 1937; and by 1940, the company had begun to apply mass production techniques to the manufacturing of exhaust. Today, Maremont is the leader in aftermarket exhaust with a full range of mufflers, catalytic converters, performance exhaust, pipes, and accessory products. The products are marketed through various channels of distribution under the brand names of Maremont, Cherry Bomb, and various private labels. Who Is Maremont?
