Staging Guru Andy Capelluto this month launched her International School of Staging. The combination of 30 years first as a School teacher and then as an interior designer proved to be the perfect blend to author a home staging course in 2004 geared towards was the real estate agents exclusively. As the first online staging course Andy’s contract with Realty U kept her flying under the radar for the past 4 years, today the number of students who have the AHS designation has exceeded 5,000 In her 2011 update to The Power of Staging, Andy introduces the concept of the Stagent®, (an agent who guides their seller through the process of home staging) and the CSA Certification for which stands for a Certified Staging Agent, (or a STAGENT®) Long before staging was called staging, people were staging homes for the real estate market. As an interior designer Capelluto instinctively staged her home in South Africa 12 years ago, prior to selling it. Of course it sold in record time, in an era when you couldn’t give a home away in South Africa.
