About International Security Society (ISS)
The International Security Society (ISS) is the largest student-led initiative at the Vienna School of International Studies (Diplomatische Akademie Wien). The ISS aims to engage and expand the interest of our students in the topics of international peace and security, diplomacy, conflict resolution, global stability and cooperative development. The Society prides itself in its efforts to foster connections between students, diplomats and experts, introducing the upcoming generation of leaders to the work and experiences of professionals in the field. The ISS organizes embassy visits and internal events to facilitate discussions with prominent representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations and NGOs. Diplomats, policymakers, experts, scholars and students are welcome to contact the ISS to organize events, workshops and academic initiatives in collaboration with students from the Diplomatische Akademie Wien.
