About International Sports Broadcasting
International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) is a company specialising in the host broadcast coverage of major sporting events. With offices in Madrid, Spain and Salt Lake City, USA, ISB has solidified itself as “THE” company to engage in terms of broadcasting. Our reputation is world renowned within the industry. ISB was founded by Manolo Romero, one of the pioneers in sports television, whose experience is unparalleled and no other company brings this level of experience to event projects. In 2001, the IOC asked ISB to launch Olympic Broadcasting Services to be responsible for the Host Broadcasting operation of all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games until the end of 2012. ISB’s broadcasting of each event has continued to exceed all previous occasions and it has been acknowledged by numerous Olympic Golden Rings, Emmy’s and other awards. This in turn, has assisted many Rights Holding Broadcasters in achieving similar success and broadcast rating records in their home territories. ISB has been a leader in the use new technologies and production enhancements, primarily through its work on the Olympic Games. Some examples that were developed by ISB management include the Multi Channel Distribution Service and Olympic News Channel concepts and the extensive usage of high speed slow motion replay cameras. ISB have also pioneered many technological innovations at each of the Games, including High-definition television. Most recently ISB were awarded the Innovation Prize for “Innovative Use of Mini HSSM Cameras” at the SPORTEL AWARDS Ceremony that took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco in October 2015.
