About International Swimming Academy

ISA started with a vision of swimming lessons that didn't rely on floats or instructions shouted from the side of the pool. We knew there had to be a better way than the conventional method everyone else was using to teach. After studying a variety of methods, Silvia found a course she felt would be most effective. Founders Silvia and Miguel went to the USA for a month to train and came back ready to implement parts of this programme and combined it with their experience from other courses and lessons to create ISA's unique methodology. Starting with one swimmer in one location as Quality Swim, today International Swimming Academy has over 300 swimmers, 4 instructors (with 2 more to complete their "ISA Qualified Instructor Training" qualification in Spain in July 2019). The ISA method focuses on the individual and moves at their pace, following their learning style. Back floating to rest and breathe is at the core of learning. Our programmes are available for babies, toddlers and children all the way through to adults of any age. Our programme has been proven to work well for many swimmers with special needs.
