About International Women's Club of Bogotá
The International Women’s Club of Bogotá is an organization whose aim is to give assistance of a voluntary and altruistic nature. As a non-profit and non-political organization, the objective is to give support to charitable organizations and to promote cultural activities, union and companionship among ladies of the international community living in Bogotá. For 78 years the International Women’s Club of Bogotá (IWC Bogotá) has provided a sense of community, engaged in charitable endeavors, and facilitated cultural immersion for English-speaking women of all nationalities living in Bogotá. Embracing Diversity: With members representing over 20 nationalities, IWC Bogotá celebrates inclusivity in the midst of diversity. Giving back to the community: IWC Bogotá has supported its charitable initiatives through contributions of time, money, and resources. We make quarterly monetary donations to six charities that we currently support. Additionally, we step in with extra funds and resources when special issues arise, such as replacing flooring, maintaining industrial equipment, or providing essential items like clothing and toiletries. Empowering Members to Give Back: We also offer opportunities for our members to give back through direct involvement, such as tutoring English at a school we sponsor. Funds for these charitable efforts are raised through special events held throughout the year, as well as through your membership dues. Immersive Activities: Beyond charity work, IWC Bogotá has always been committed to helping its members and their families adjust to life in a new country. We provide numerous activities such as cooking groups, cultural outings, and happy hour events, creating spaces for friendships that often last a lifetime.
