About International Youth Philosophy Initiative
The International Youth Philosophy Initiative (IYPI) was founded at Yale University in the prestigious Yale Young Global Scholars program by four enthusiastic high school students. Our mission is to introduce young students to philosophy through high school clubs chaptered under our banner throughout the world. We currently hold regional chapters in countries like Korea, India, the United States, Kenya, New Zealand, North Macedonia, and others, with many more to come. We provide our chapters a central curriculum, an international community, and a platform to share their accomplishments and growth with the world at large. We also offer our members the opportunity to try their hand in two essay competitions with cash prizes, regular Zoom meetings with acclaimed professors of philosophy, and a global discussion board to promote education and excellence in the field. Our founders, all certified Yale Global Scholars in 2024, are Shiven Jain from India; Jason Lee from California, United States; Aaron Lee from South Korea; and Eric Miller from Massachusetts, United States. They are joined in executive management by two other certified Yale Global Scholars, Chloe Leseur from the United Kingdom and Rittik Bhattacharya, from Washington, United States.
