Intex Recreation Corp. (IRC) is the exclusive sales associate and distributor of INTEX branded products in the United States and Canada. IRC sells to multiple classes of retail including mass market, internet, club, sporting goods, grocery, toy, housewares, department, as well as local distributors. The INTEX product lines include Air Mattresses, Above Ground Pools, Inflatable Pool Floats, Pool Accessories, Inflatable Boats and Kayaks, and after-sale consumer parts. IRC sells direct to the three largest customers and through well-established rep groups managed by Territory Sales Managers for all other customers. IRC’s customer base numbers in the thousands while consumer direct sales are conducted via Intexcorp.com and a fully staffed Consumer Service Call Center with agents in Long Beach, the Philippines and China. Annual sales volume is significant, as well as seasonal in nature, necessitating extensive forecasting, tight controls and detailed execution. IRC has been in business selling consumer products for over 50 years and is a member of the Intex family of companies. The Intex family of companies is comprised of over 50 independently owned companies working together closely to design, manufacture, market and sell INTEX products in 110 countries all over the world. All INTEX products are exclusively manufactured by two facilities in China with in-house quality assurance and control departments. Product safety and compliance is assured via a firewalled full-service test lab as well as independent third-party test labs.
