About Invent Circle

Invent Circle CIC is a social enterprise with a mission to prepare the next generation of inventors and innovators. One of the ways we do this is by introducing and advancing 3D technology skills in young people at an early stage. We live in an increasingly complex digital age, and for this reason there is a pull in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) to advance technology and digital skills training to tackle the corresponding skills shortages. While there is a significant number of programmes and organisations providing programming like coding skills as a way for young people to experience ‘tech’, there are not as many in the area of digital 3D technology skills such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Graphic Design, Photogrammetry, Animation, Virtual Reality and 3D printing – all of which play a significant part in innovation. At Invent Circle, our aim is to provide a diversified experience to young learners and introduce them to the exciting world of 3D technology via free programmes and giving them a broader perspective on careers and opportunities in STEAM. Our pilot programmes will be targeted at 8-year-olds and older in selected areas around the UK. This is being done in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders, including local companies, authorities and schools. All to increase interest and uptake of STEAM related subjects in young people to further their career paths.
