About Investigation and Testing Services Limited
We provide impartial investigation, testing and consultancy services to the built environment in order to assist our clients gain vital information pertinent to the current condition of their building's fabrics, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding repurpose and/or maintenance of their assets. Projects are typically carried out on new or existing buildings e.g. retail units, multi storey buildings, carparks, residential housing etc.; or along the highway or railway networks such as bridges or retaining walls. We work on concrete, brick, steel, and timber framed structures. These projects often include: Structural Investigations - such as those to identify the construction detail of vital elements of a building, or confirm that newly constructed assets have been built to specifications. Condition Surveys - to non-destructively asses an asset's current condition, such as for routine inspections, or to form a baseline survey before other works are carried out which may compromise the integrity of the structure. Concrete Testing - to provide early warning signs of potential deterioration within the concrete, or to assess the cause and/or extent of any evident defects by taking samples for laboratory testing. Post Tension Special Investigations (PTSI) - to identify the position and condition of ducts and tendons, and sample the surrounding grout and concrete for further analysis. Pavement Testing - to assess the condition of the bound material and the sub-materials forming our road network. Non Destructive Testing (NDT) - to identify problems such a defective welds, or evaluate the thickness of steel sections. A lot of our projects could fall in to several of the above categories and we leverage our expertise to integrate all methodologies to offer the most cost effective approach for our clients At ITSL-UK we utilise the latest most advanced equipment on the market, and are continuously upskilling our workforce to stay at the top of our game.
