InZero Systems (“InZero”) of Herndon, VA is an R&D firm dedicated to embedded computer security, i.e., hardware and firmware solutions which avoid the inherent vulnerabilities of software security products. The company is headed by Louis Hughes, former President of Lockheed-Martin and of GM International, and current Board Member of several international companies including Alcatel-Lucent. Other executives, owners and independent advisors have also headed prominent companies or served as security experts for enterprises or government agencies. InZero holds various patents in cyber security, with additional applications pending. The growing popularity of tablet and smartphone use for both business and personal activity has created an obvious dilemma for IT administrators. As they seek to protect business data, the employee engages in personal activity that increases the risk of introducing malware that can compromise business data. Only physical separation between enterprise and personal data fully prevents cross-contamination between them. This requires genuinely 2-devices-in-1, offered only by InZero. Our WorkPlay Technology provides multiple hardware-separated operating systems (“OS’s”) in a single mobile device. These OS’s do not share resources (RAM, flash memory, kernel). This is the equivalent of having 2-devices-in-1 because one OS cannot access the other. Consequently, malware introduced in one OS cannot compromise data in the other OS. Our bifurcation of OS’s, ideal for separating enterprise and personal activity, is equally usable for “WorkWork” scenarios, such as for financial services enterprises, where the user needs to protect customer data and at the same time access industry-oriented resources. Our Technology allows embodiment of different security levels for these kinds of activities.
