About Iowa Home Crafters

We build high quality, environmentally friendly homes in central Iowa. It's our goal to protect the environment and conserve energy resources while giving you a beautiful home to live in and enjoy. In August of 1989, Iowa Home Crafters began as David Hade Construction. Weldon Abarr joined David soon after to build a construction company known for exceptional quality. In 2004, with a revelation that there are other impacts of home construction that should be addressed, the five areas of responsible construction were created. By focusing on quality work while also emphasizing energy efficiency, healthy living, environmental awareness and thoughtful design, Iowa Home Crafters offers a complete, thoughtful and responsible approach to all its building projects. The name of our company was changed from David Hade Construction to Iowa Home Crafters in 2004 to give respect to all the people who help build our projects.
