The Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association is a voice for over 1,000 osteopathic physicians licensed in Iowa. IOMA also offers many benefits to our members. -IOMA has a consistent presence at the Capitol and before state agencies. IOMA makes sure that your license to practice in Iowa is not affected by someone’s lack of knowledge about osteopathic medicine. As a member, you will be kept informed on what the legislature and state agencies are proposing, passing and implementing. -IOMA offers opportunities to lead the osteopathic profession through the Board of Trustees, committees and task forces. As a smaller organization, it is easy to get involved. IOMA is also instrumental in getting members appointed to state committees as well. -IOMA provides local continuing medical education credit hours to meet your license renewal requirements in Iowa. -IOMA publications and communications keep members and their practices informed and knowledgeable on subjects affecting your practice of medicine in Iowa.
