The clinic was founded by Director Prof. Pina D'Agostino in 2010. Our mandate is two-fold: (1) Ignite an Innovative Economy in Canada: Helping offset what can be prohibitive costs associated with IP by providing pro bono, one-to-one information and services to researchers, inventors, entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs. (2) Educate and Empower Students: Preparing law students for the professional world through hands-on, practical experience under the supervision of practicing lawyers. Our services can include: - Initial IP information and assistance - Patent searches and due diligence - Trademark searches and due diligence - IP strategy assistance - Freedom to operate information - and more… Become a client here: https://machformext.osgoode.yorku.ca/machform/view.php?id=97647 Students from Osgoode Hall Law School are supervised by practicing lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP, Smart & Biggar LP, and OWN Innovation to provide pro bono and assistance on real-world case files.
