Roberto Fasciani launched Ipermedia S.a.s in 1988, to produce two digital controllers for remote heating control of public buildings in Rome. One of the very first “smart city” projects in Rome: almost 1300 digital controllers were produced and installed in government buildings during 90’s. (Canada); ICCROM - Unesco (Roma); Ente Roma2000; Pride Group Spa, Expotel Spa, Infor Gmbh (DE). Ipermedia Sas started offering stages for students to support their final essay in Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology at some Universities in Rome. The first product was available on the UK market on September 1999. On the year 2000, Mindmaker Inc. (USA-based multinational) bought Soulsim Ltd. Then, Roberto Fasciani was asked to startup Epotel Spa and to work some years as Manager at this company. Last years Roberto Fasciani works as a consultant, building automation designer, bid master, wi-fi controlled sensor devices, AI research in natural language processing for an ontology module.
