The permission to set up the Iran Medical Center was issued on the 5th of Shahrivar 1354 in the 133rd session of the Council for the Development of Higher Education. The faculties of medicine, nursing and paramedicine were the first faculties of this center. The first medical students were recruited in Mehr 1356.
