Irish Building Supply is a 100% Irish owned, family run independent builders merchant and hardware company selling an extensive range of quality building and DIY materials in Dublin and Wicklow. The company has been in business for over 55 years and has stores in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. The Macken family have very strong roots in the construction and hardware industry in Ireland. Having established as T&J Macken Building Contractors in Dublin in 1937, the company built many churches, schools and convents in the greater Dublin area. Part of the business then developed into a timber yard and timber sales in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin before establishing as Irish Building Supply in 1970 and becoming a trusted name in quality building materials with excellent customer service. Our full trade counters and retail stores are stocked with a vast range of quality products to satisfy the needs of construction companies, builders, trades people, self-builders, D.I.Y and householders. Customers can expect fast efficient service, product advice and the best possible price. Customers can avail of a timber cutting service (1-2 days) in our Dun Laoghaire store and our excellent delivery service will ensure you have all the materials you need to carry out your projects. Our Head Office and primary store is in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. Our Kilcoole store in Co. Wicklow is an impressive 14,000 sq ft and serves as the company’s logistics hub, with an excellent and very quick delivery service to the greater Dublin and Wicklow areas. The company operates its own fleet of vehicles and its delivery service runs from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
