About Irish Sport and Exercise Sciences Association

The ISESA is the representative association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (SES) in Ireland. We are a non-profit association for the SES community. Our vision is to enhance the health, well-being and performance of individuals through sport and exercise sciences. The mission of ISESA is to lead, represent, and advance the sport and exercise sciences community through advocacy, knowledge exchange, collaboration and accreditation. The association launched on November 8th 2023 after development from a working group made up of representatives from Higher Education Institutions, National Governing Bodies of Sport and sporting organisations in Ireland. The association currently runs the ISESA Podcast Series and the ISESA Webinar Series and is in the process of developing an accreditation pathway for the SES community in Ireland.
