A pioneer in the adventure travel industry, Island Expeditions has been providing world-class kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and snorkeling experiences in Belize for thousands of international travelers since 1987. Our trips visit stunning locations, from jungle lodges in national parks to Basecamps on Lighthouse and Glover's Reef Atolls. Over the thirty years, the company has brought over 22,000 tourists, including high school and university educational groups to this Central American country. Students and travelers can get educated on the tropical marine life located on United Nations World Heritage Sites and jungle wildlife located in National Rainforest Parks. Island Expeditions is able to offer year-round trips to Belize for all levels of travelers. Island Expeditions has pioneered sea kayak and snorkel trips that have set the standard for others to follow. Who would have thought that when we first began our sea kayak and snorkel trips at little-known Glover's Reef Atoll that a decade later it would become both a treasured National Park and be recognized as a United Nations World Heritage Site. In 2003, we opened our newest basecamp on Halfmoon Caye, Lighthouse Reef. With its rare beauty and astonishing marine life it will surely become one known as a world-class sea kayak and snorkel destination. Committed to responsible tourism, Island Expeditions provides unique travel experiences with a conservation, community or volunteer focus. We actively support the Belize Zoo, the Belize Audubon Society, several local schools and other local conservation initiatives. Island Expeditions is part of the Belize Adventure Group, which includes Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures, Tobacco Caye Paradise Lodge and Island Adventures.
