We have developed two products after over a decade of research at our research facility at Karolinska Institutet, briefly: 1. Early Alzheimer’s Risk Detection Kit using a simple blood test. We have discovered a novel mechanism of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) development in patients and further to it we have developed a novel antibody (patent application (PCT) under review) and a kit to detect this biomarker in blood samples (the first of its kind) very easily using the most commonly used detection method (ELISA) in clinics around the world. This data is recently published in the most cited peer reviewed journal in this field ‘Alzheimer’s & Dementia’. This detection kit is also very important to detect the quality of donors’ blood sample before transfusion to the recipient to mitigate the risk of developing AD to the recipient. We have performed some clinical studies in Amsterdam and in Shanghai. The results are highly promising. Our diagnostic kit outperformed conventional blood biomarkers Aß40, Aß42, NfL, GFAP and pTau18, reaching an accuracy of 92% in detecting mild cognitive impairment (MCI) ahead of dementia diagnosis as observed on small cohort in our new clinical study. 2. Food Supplement: After over a decade of research and discovering the novel mechanism of AD development, we have also developed a highly potent formulation of Food Supplement using a special combination of various amino acids (patent application submitted). This food supplement is highly potent to convert BAD IsoAsp to GOOD Asp!
