About Israel-EU Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The Israel-European Union (EU) Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a nonprofit organization, with the objective to promote, strengthen and encourage the bilateral trade relations between Israel and the EU. The Chamber, in doing so, focuses on trade (import, export), investments and research and development. The members of the Chamber are the European bilateral Chambers of Commerce. It started its activity in May 2007 aiming to increase the understanding of the bilateral European chambers of commerce, as well as businessmen that work in European states, in terms of importance of economic relations and business cooperation between Israel and EU Member States. The Chamber’s activities focus on three main channels of assistance. First, the Chamber responds to questions on commercial obstacles and questions concerning the EU institutions. Secondly, the Chamber advertises and promotes relevant business opportunities, projects and seminars and exhibitions. Thirdly, the Chamber organizes professional meetings and thematic seminars in areas related to the Israel-EU commercial relationship. The Chamber organizes regular events aiming to mark the entrance of relevant European Member State to the Presidency in the European Union, thus it cooperates with different European Embassies in organization of this semiannual events. These events take place either in an Embassy or in Ambassador's residence with the attendance of chairmen of European Chambers, heads of economic organizations, representatives of Israeli ministries, and Ambassadors. The Chamber closely cooperates with the EU Delegation to the State of Israel. The Head of Delegation and its personnel have contributed greatly both on professional level and financially to the Chamber's activities. The Chamber also cooperates with the Israel Export Institute, the Manufacturers Association, and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.
