The demands of living and working in a global economic community necessitates adaptable and flexible young people with the skill-set, knowledge and character to contribute and shape the future and meet the many challenges that lie ahead. At an early age the learning of a second language develops the brain faster than without, a stress free loving and happy environment means each child has the room to grow as an individual and play whilst they learn. Our Cambridge curriculum then develops the child thinking and inquiry skills whilst continued language learning develops bilingual students confident in their abilities to perform. We believe that as a child grows their exposure to differing cultures, ideas, language and a world class curriculum means our students are more prepared, better provisioned and ready to face the global village. IST is the only school in Arizona to use immersive language learning and the Cambridge curriculum for all grades and know we are at the forefront of pedagogical development. We believe we are the ONLY school in the United States to deliver such a language immersion program combined with a Cambridge curricular from Grade 1 through 8 and our students consistently rank as very good or excellent in Cambridge assessments. We offer four immersive languages from age 3 supported by the Cambridge curriculum AND enhanced by the character development curriculum program ‘Teaching Future Leaders’ developed in the UK. A truly unique school founded in excellent pedagogy, global teaching excellence and above all the enjoyment of learning in a safe and happy environment.
